TERMITE

Termites are known as "silent destroyers" because of their ability to chew through wood, flooring and even wallpaper undetected. There are about 2,000 known termite species in the world. Each year, termites cause more than $5 billion in property damage.

ANTS

They are social insects, which means they live in large colonies or groups. Depending on the species, ant colonies can consist of millions of ants. There are three kinds of ants in a colony: The queen, the female workers, and males. ... When the eggs hatch, the new ants become the "slave" ants for the colony.

Ants are eusocial insects of the family Formicidae and, along with the related wasps and bees, belong to the order Hymenoptera. Ants appear in the fossil record across the globe in considerable diversity during the latest Early Cretaceous and early Late Cretaceous, suggesting an earlier origin

WASPS

Unlike bees, wasps can sting repeatedly. Only females have stingers, which are actually modified egg-laying organs. Despite the fear they sometimes evoke, wasps are extremely beneficial to humans. Nearly every pest insect on Earth is preyed upon by a wasp species, either for food or as a host for its parasitic larvae.

A wasp is any insect of the narrow-waisted suborder Apocrita of the order Hymenoptera which is neither a bee nor an ant; this excludes the broad-waisted sawflies, which look somewhat like wasps but are in a separate suborder.

SPIDERS

A wasp is any insect of the narrow-waisted suborder Apocrita of the order Hymenoptera which is neither a bee nor an ant; this excludes the broad-waisted sawflies, which look somewhat like wasps but are in a separate suborder.

Spiders are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs, chelicerae with fangs generally able to inject venom, and spinnerets that extrude silk. They are the largest order of arachnids and rank seventh in total species diversity among all orders of organisms.

BEES

There are about 20,000 different species of bees in the world. Bees live in colonies that contain the queen bee, the worker bee and the drone. ... All drones are male. Worker bees clean the hive, collecting pollen and nectar to feed the colony and they take care of the offspring.

Bees are flying insects closely related to wasps and ants, known for their role in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the western honey bee, for producing honey. Bees are a monophyletic lineage within the superfamily Apoidea. They are presently considered a clade, called Anthophila.

CENTIPEDES

The name centipede literally means "100 legs," but this pest can actually have anywhere from 15 to 177 pairs of legs. Their legs are long and slender, which helps them to move at a fast speed. The last pair of legs on a female centipede is more than twice as long as its body.

Centipedes are predatory arthropods belonging to the class Chilopoda of the subphylum Myriapoda, an arthropod group which also includes millipedes and other multi-legged creatures. Centipedes are elongated metameric creatures with one pair of legs per body segment.

MOSQUITOES

A mosquito is any member of a group of about 3,500 species of small insects belonging to the order Diptera. Within Diptera, mosquitoes constitute the family Culicidae. The word "mosquito" is Spanish for "little fly"

FLIES

There are more than 120,000 species of flies worldwide with about 18,000 found in North America. A female housefly can lay up to 600 eggs in her short lifetime. Most flies live an average of 21 days and take on various shapes throughout their short lives.

True flies are insects of the order Diptera, the name being derived from the Greek δι- di- "two", and πτερόν pteron "wing"
